PlanetSentry does not require accounts to browse the site. This page explains what data is collected, how it is used, and what rights you have.

What we collect

PlanetSentry may receive standard request data such as IP address, browser type, referrer, approximate location inferred by infrastructure, and server logs needed to operate the site securely and diagnose problems. We do not require account registration and do not collect names, email addresses, or payment information.

Analytics and performance monitoring

The site uses Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand aggregate usage, page performance, and product stability. These services process anonymized usage data to help us improve reliability and content quality. No personally identifiable information is stored by these services on our behalf.

Cookies and similar technologies

PlanetSentry and its partners use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies for the following purposes:

  • Essential cookies: Necessary for site functionality, security, and load balancing. These cannot be disabled.

Requests to those sources may be proxied or cached through PlanetSentry infrastructure to improve reliability. These providers have their own privacy policies that govern data collected through their services.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to access: Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to deletion: Request that we delete personal data associated with you. Since we do not maintain user accounts, this primarily applies to server logs and analytics data.
  • Right to opt out: Opt out of personalized advertising through the cookie consent banner or Google Ads Settings linked above.
  • GDPR (EU/EEA residents): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, and port your personal data. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • CCPA (California residents): You have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. PlanetSentry does not sell personal information.

Children's privacy

PlanetSentry is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will take steps to delete it.

This policy may be updated periodically. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
